Category Manager - Permanent - £35,000 to £43,000 + benefits - National (Hybrid)
You will join a large, global tech business in this exciting Category Manager role. You will be responsible for developing procurement strategies with suppliers across the UK.
You can be based anywhere as your role will involve meeting suppliers at their sites. When not meeting suppliers on their sites, you will work from home and can work from your nearest office to you.
Main Responsibilities
Negotiating pricing, rebates, and commercial terms with suppliers
Maximising savings and profitability
Developing and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and internal senior stakeholders
Reviewing divisional spend and ensuring strategic alignment of suppliers to meet business needs
Creating and leading large tenders from analysing business needs to contract negotiations
Analysing third-party spend across business units, identifying consolidation opportunities across suppliers
Conducting strategic supplier business reviews to manage their performance
Providing your procurement expertise and sharing best practice across the business and externally with suppliers
The Ideal Candidate
Proven experience in a procurement function and strategic category management approach
CIPS Qualified (minimum qualified to Level 5)
Evidence of supplier management, contract management, and commercial negotiation
Strong understanding of risk and compliance within third-party supply chains
Excellent relationship management and proven leadership skills
Confident and professional
Experience of Microsoft suites and ERP software
